Dems Straw Poll shows Vineout favored for Governor

WISCREPORT.COM (06/03/2017) – Wisconsin State Senator Kathleen Vineout of Alma, WI, won a straw poll at the Democratic State Convention in Middleton over the weekend. 38 percent of those who participated think she would be a good 2018 candidate for Governor of the State of Wisconsin. While about 1,298 delegates, alternates and registered guests attended the convention, only 489 ballots were cast. Others receiving straw poll votes: Dana Wachs, 12.5%; Mike McCabe, 8.6%; Jon Erpenbach, 7.4%; Andy Gronik, 7%; Mahlon Mitchell, 5.9%; Matt Flynn, 3.7%; Gordon Hintz, 3.3%; Susan Happ,3.3%; Paul Soglin, 1.2%; Bob Harlow, 0.8%; and Daniel Speckhard, 0.4%. DPI’s Tony Evers Wins Third Term As State Superintendent

WISCONSINREPORT.COM (0404/2017) – Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Superintendent Tony Evers (above) has been re-elected to a third term to helm the DPI. District Court Says Fix Wisconsin District Boundaries

WISCONSINREPORT.COM (01/27/2017) – A three judge federal district court ruling requires the State of Wisconsin to redraw legislative district boundaries. The existing boundaries were created by a Republican controlled legislature. Democrats complained that the boundaries of the districts favored the election of majority party candidates as a result.
