The weekend started out when 22 year old Christina Grimmie, a rising star in the music world, was murdered by an assailant who shot and killed her during a meet and greet after a concert in Orlando. Police hadn’t even begun to dig very far into their investigation of that murder, when another gunman killed 50 people in an Orlando nightclub, and wounded another 53.

Business Cyber Security Set For Madison Summit

WISCONSINREPORT.COM (11/5/2015) – It used to be when a company was hacked, it was usually an issue for the IT department, but that is not the case today. Cyber crime is reported to cost businesses about $100 billion in the U.S. yearly. The average cost of a data breach for companies with 1,000 employees is estimated at $15.4 million, according to a study commissioned by IBM. This is an 82% increase from 2009. Some companies have reported losses in excess of $65 million.

Madison Shooting By Officer Under Independent Investigation

WISCONSINREPORT.COM (03/10/2015) – The shooting incident in Madison, Wisconsin, Friday, involving a police officer, is now the subject of an independent investigation mandated by Wisconsin law. The law was co-authored by Madison area State Assembly Representative Chris Taylor (D-Madison) in the last session of the State Legislature. Coincidentally, she says she was in the area where the Friday shooting took place.

Body Of Missing Wausau Woman Found In National Forest

WISCONSINREPORT.COM (09/23/2014) [CRIME] – Wausau, Wisconsin area law enforcement authorities say they have located the body of Stephanie Low. Wausau Police Chief Jeff Hardel says the woman was missing since Oct. 10, 2010. Low’s body was found in a  shallow grave in the national forest near Wabeno, in Forest County, WI.
