Village Of Necedah Treasurer Will Now Be Appointed NOT Elected

The position of treasurer will no longer be an elected position in the Village of Necedah.  The Village Board voted unanimously to make the position an appointed one rather than an elected position.  The current treasurer is Sheryl Steen.  Steen also serves as the Deputy Clerk.  The Village Treasurer must now be located in the Village Hall.  The Board believes that will help the community to be able to have more face to face time with the Treasurer.
