The 2nd annual Juneau County Youth Livestock Expo is just around the corner! It will be held July 26-27 at the Veteran’s Memorial Park in Mauston. Over 134 head of livestock are already registered, from 76 different exhibitors. “The number of head of livestock and exhibitors has grown significantly over our first year,” commented co-chair, Scott Firlus. This show will feature some industry leading judges and is designed to promote education amongst all exhibitors. The event will kick-off Wednesday evening with the sheep and goat show. Thursday morning hogs, followed by beef will be shown. That evening a buyer’s reception will be held at 5:00 pm and the market animal

The awards were announced at the association’s recent conference, held in Duluth, Minn. The winning segments all aired during the 2016 season, the 12th season of “Outdoors Radio.” Kelm won first place awards in two categories: Hunting & Shooting Sports and Gear/Technical, with “Training a Deaf Dog to Hunt,” an interview with Michelle Milford about her experience in training a deaf
