Wisconsin hunters have shot their second lowest number of deer since 1982. In preliminary data released Tuesday, the Department of Natural Resources said almost 196,000 deer were registered for the nine day gun season that ended Sunday.  Kill numbers were down from last year: Down 8 percent in Adams County, 10 percent in Juneau County, 11 percent in Monroe County, 16 percent in Sauk County, and 19 percent in Vernon County. Two Nekoosa teens were arrested for recklessly endangering safety Tuesday. Juneau County Sheriff Brent Oleson said at about 1pm, the Sheriff’s Office received several reports of people being shot at on 24th Street in the Armenia Township. The initial investigation revealed four individuals went to a residence to sell some items. Two subjects at the residence took the items but allegedly refused to pay for them. Oleson said shortly thereafter, the two subjects exited the residence and fired a firearm several times. 19-year-old Alex Frick and 18-year-old Jacob Meyer were arrested and tentatively charged with recklessly endangering safety.
