Schultz, Robert M., age 100, of Mauston

Robert M. Schultz, 100, of Mauston, passed away December 16, 2017, after a brief illness. Robert was born January 2, 1917, in Mauston, to William and Clara (Mistele) Schultz. On September 16, 1945, he married Jennie A. Polesky from Medway, MA. He served in the U.S. Army from 1941-45 and was wounded in 1943 during the Allied offensive in Italy. Discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant, Robert was awarded a Purple Heart and a number of other medals.
