New Lisbon Man Fires Gun During Dispute

A New Lisbon man is facing charges of First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, False Imprisonment, Disorderly Conduct, and two counts of Criminal Damage to Property after getting into a dispute with a woman.  The victim claims her and 45 year old Larry McDonald had been together before and was trying to work on their relationship although they do not live together.  She said that is how the argument started between her and McDonald.  McDonald had asked her to stay over and she agreed but disagreed about moving in.  The argument became heated and the victim tried to leave but McDonald blocked the door.  McDonald had also grabbed a gun and threatened to kill himself if she left.  At one point the gun was shot off and just missed the victim.  Authorities have a text between McDonald and the victim where he apologizes for the gun going off and said it was an accident.  Authorities made contact with McDonald and transported him to the Juneau County Jail.
