Gov. Evers And Lawmakers Introducing A $24 Million Dollar Agriculture Package
Governor Tony Evers and lawmakers want to invest more than $24 Millon dollars in agricultural industries. A package was introduced at the World Dairy Expo and included $20 Millon dollars in grants to help connect Wisconsin food banks with producers, providing food to struggling families.
$2.6 million dollars would be used to create a ‘Meat Talent Development Program,’ helping students enrolled in a Wisconsin meat processing educational or training program. Funding would also go to market Wisconsin-made products, the Farm-to-School program, and the creation of a Regional Farmer Mental Health Program.
