Camp Douglas Man Arrested for Possession of Drugs

A Camp Douglas man is facing charges of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Felony Bail Jumping.  A witness notified authorities that 35 year old Jerry Scheerer was at his residence with a roommate.  The witness believed Scheerer had warrants out for his arrest.  Authorities went to the residence and heard a loud crash and observed a man running away.  Officers were able to track down the man who was later identified as Scheerer.  A search of Scheerer turned up nearly a dozen baggies containing a clear crystal like substance believed to be methamphetamine.
