Weeks after attempting to steal a Television and Trailer Mauston Man on the Prowl Again
First it was a TV then it was a trailer now 28 year old Matthew Skiff is being accused of stealing bicycles. The Mauston man is facing charges of Attempt Burglary of a Building, Criminal Damage to Property, and 2 counts of Misdemeanor Bail Jumping. Skiff allegedly tried to break into a Mauston business on August 11th around midnight. Skiff attempted to cut phone lines to disable the camera, but while doing this the camera was able to pick up a clear shot off his face and arm featuring a distinguishing tattoo. Skiff had apparently used a pair of needle nosed pliers to try to cut a bike lock on bikes locked to the business. The attempted theft resulted in $665 in damage to the Mauston business. Skiff was identified due to the tattoo on his arm and was arrested and transported to the Juneau County Jail.
