Traffic Stop Leads to Drug, Theft Charges in Juneau County
Two men are facing multiple drug related charges after being pulled over for speeding in Juneau County. On June 11th State Patrol pulled over Orlando James 23, of Superior for going 85mph on the interstate. There were two occupants in the vehicle, the other being Juron Carter 25, of Duluth, Minnesota. The officer could smell the odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. The State Patrolmen also noted a temporary 21 day permit issued May 7th on the rear window. Both men were detained and a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted. In the vehicle, authorities discovered a Marijuana Dab Kit which contained 3 glass pipes, a stoker, along with other drug paraphernalia. Both men were arrested and taken to the Juneau County Jail. It was also discovered the vehicle was stolen from a car dealership in Minnesota. James and Carter are facing charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Owner Consent, Possession of TCH, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Carter is out on bond and James remains in the Juneau County Jail.
