Team Effort Leads Lady Golden Eagles to Victory Sweep over Logan in Volleyball Action
The La Crosse Logan Rangers had a dominant volleyball player in Marissa Kleman but the Mauston Golden Eagles had the dominating team Thursday night as they swept their way into the Regional Championship game to be played Saturday night. The #2 seed Lady Golden Eagles swept the Rangers 25-21 25-20 and 25-17 using a team effort. Emma Incaprero and Sam Thrasher were dominating with aces at service. Maddy Scully, Matti Wafle and Mia Quist were dominating up front with kills. The Mauston Freshman Brie Eckerman and Anna Kudick also made plays looking more like seasoned veterans. It was a complete team effort for Mauston will now host the #3 seed Northland Pines Saturday night at Mauston High School at 7pm. Mauston will be playing for a regional championship plaque and a trip to sectionals. Mauston is now 27-4 on the season.
