Mauston Man Passed Out in Intersection Arrested After Authorities Find Loaded Needle
A Mauston man is facing a charge of Possession of Narcotic Drugs after a June incident. Mauston police located a man sleeping in his car in the middle of the intersection between Loomis Drive and Grove Street. Authorities made contact with 29 year old Michael Schultz who was initially asleep with the car in drive, a foot on the break, and holding a lit cigarette. As the officer knocked on the window Schultz woke up. Schultz said he was asleep because he was tired. The officer could visually see two hypodermic needles on containing fluid. The liquid in the needle was tested to be either heroine or Suboxone. Schultz was transported to the Juneau County Jail.
