Mauston Man Admits to Stealing Public Works Brass Water Meters

38 year old Thomas Miles, of Mauston is being charged with stealing brass water meters from the City of Mauston Public Works Department.  Miles is being charged with Theft – Moveable Property and Misdemeanor Theft.  Each brass meter is valued at $150 each.  Miles admitted to stealing them and said he scrapped them for about $115.  Miles had stolen the brass water meters on 2 separate occasions.
