Mauston Brings Back Familiar Face to Serve as Middle School Principal

Mauston Middle School will welcome back a familiar face this fall.  Long time Mauston High science teacher John “Jack” Hammer will be the new Middle School principal in Mauston.  Hammer served as the Pardeeville High School Principal for the past two years.  Hammer is expected to step into the position sometime in the middle of this month.  Hammer will return home to be with his wife and kids who have stayed in Mauston despite Hammer working in Pardeeville.  Mauston Middle School has an estimated 300 students, while Pardeeville has a population of just under 300 residents.  Hammer is happy to be home but says “I’m so appreciative of how welcoming Pardeeville was and how the community supported me and the school in general, Pardeeville will always be remembered as a good place in my life.
