Kurtz Reaches Agreement with Wisconsin Ethics Commission

50th Assembly District Candidate Tony Kurtz has reached an agreement with the Wisconsin Ethics Commission for receiving funds before his campaign started.  The agreement was reached on August 16th.  Kurtz was fined $294 to settle with the commission.  Kurtz called it a “paperwork snafu”.   Kurtz said he decided to run on May 14th and only had 2 weeks to register, combined with a May 31st deadline for his corn insurance made it a hectic couple of weeks.  Kurtz admits he missed the deadline but said he reported it to the ethics committee as soon as he found out.  Kurtz faces Democrat Art Schrader in the November 6th election.
