Four-Year-Old Dies After Fall From Truck Cab

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal accident in which a four-year-old boy was killed after falling out of a truck cab.  Officers say 45-year-old Jason Wachter of Woodman was driving on Highway C, approaching the intersection of Highway 133, at around 5:30 P-M Friday when the accident occurred. Deputies say four-year-old Kage Wachter was sitting next to the passenger door of the truck, when it swung open, and he fell out. The boy was hit by the rear tires and became unresponsive. Investigators say Jason Wachter, along with a passerby, attempted lifesaving measures, before emergency responders arrived, but the boy could not be revived. The incident remains under investigation.
