Ed Brooks Re-Election Decision Could Come as Soon as Next Week
A decision could come as soon as next week from 50th District Assemblymen Ed Brooks on whether he will seek re-election or not. Brooks joined State Senator Howard Marklein for a listening session at the Lyndon Station Village Hall Thursday. Brooks said he would like to run but it all comes down to his health. Brooks will discuss with his doctor soon to determine if another run for assembly is in order. Brooks says if he cannot run he would like to see one of his staff members seek the 50th District. Art Shrader from Reedsburg will run for the position as the democratic candidate. Shrader lost to Brooks back in 2014.
The listening session included concerns of blue algae in Juneau County lakes, lack of internet speed and cell phone coverage in rural Juneau County, costs of internet, and deer herd populations leading to numerous traffic accidents.
