E-Cigarettes Could Be Added To Wisconsin Smoking Ban
State lawmakers in both parties say they want to add e-cigarettes and other vaping products to Wisconsin’s existing smoking ban. The current law only applies to tobacco products like cigarettes and cigars and it has been in effect since 2009. The wording of the statewide vaping ban resembles one now in effect in Milwaukee. The lawmakers say they are concerned about chemicals in the e-cigs and recent reports that several teenagers have been hospitalized recently with lung damage linked to vaping.
