Dells Man Facing 3 Counts of Uttering a Forgery in Mauston
A Wisconsin Dells man is facing 3 counts of Uttering a Forgery after using checks at a local grocery store in Mauston. Through investigative work Mauston Detectives were able to identify the man cashing the forged checks as 26 year old Travis Scott. Scott had used 3 different checks at the same store on May 19th of this year. Detectives believe he has a relationship with the roommate of a known passer of fraudulent checks. Detectives used video footage and were able to draw a relationship between Scott and the known fraudulent check passer to identify him as the culprit.
