Daugs, Darlene Marie (Voss), age 68 of Mauston
Darlene Marie (Voss) Daugs, 68,Mauston, Wis., passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on May 2, 2018 after a short battle with cancer.
Darlene was born on August 22, 1949 to Wilbur and Betty Voss in Mauston, Wis. From the beginning, her strong faith was the foundation of her life. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Mauston, where she was baptized, confirmed in faith, married and now laid to rest knowing that heaven is her final destination.
Darlene grew up on a dairy farm outside of Mauston as the oldest sibling. She was involved with 4-H and FHA all through her schooling. Following high school, Darlene attended the Patricia Stevens Career College in Milwaukee. After schooling she briefly lived and worked in Madison until she returned to Mauston and married her high school sweetheart, Ronald Daugs. Together, they raised three children on a dairy, beef and crop farm. Darlene dedicated 28 years working at Mile Bluff Medical Center in the business office where she met and worked with many amazing friends.
From a young age, Darlene loved to sew and made many quilts, dresses, bridesmaid dresses as well as her own wedding dress. Many nights Darlene could be found behind a sewing machine making something for those she cared about most, her family. However, as soon as grandchildren came into her life, sewing became an easy second, as she would love to spend time with them taking them to explore new sights, make crafts, and played host to a multitude of sleepovers at ‘the farm’. Darlene also loved to get off the farm and traveled to various parts of the United States in her lifetime, but cherished the yearly Christian Women’s Retreat weekends, Voss family outings and the many weekends in Milwaukee visiting her oldest daughter’s family. When not caring for her grandchildren, Darlene had a strong faith and volunteered for many roles at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Darlene touched the lives of many people and those memories will be cherished for generations to come. But most importantly, Darlene led her life by faith. God has blessed her life in so many ways, but ultimately God has now blessed her with eternal life in heaven.
Darlene is survived by her husband of almost 48 years, Ronald Daugs, her children Lori (Michael) Jozwiak, Milwaukee; Brian (Shelly) Daugs, LaValle; and Angie (Nick) Lindloff, Reedsburg; grandchildren Matthew, Molly, Faith, Hope, Cole, Blake and Emma; and special family member Nadine Cotton, France. She is also survived by her mother Betty Voss, New Lisbon; sisters Kristi (Gary) Hansen, New Lisbon, Sharon Knuth, Elroy, brother Alan (Lisa) Voss, Mauston, sister-in-laws Patricia (Charles) Lutz, Mauston, Francie (Lawrence) Walfe, LaValle, and Kristi (Steve) Vinz, Markesan. There are also many nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifetime friends that surround Darlene throughout her life whom she treasured their friendship and companionship.
Darlene is preceded in death by her father Wilbur Voss.

Family and friends may come to visit onFriday May 11, from 4:00-8:00pm and on Saturday May 12, from 10:00-11:00am.
