Vernon County Sheriff Roy Torgerson reports the arrest of Randy LeeHarmel, age 43, of rural Ontario, WI, as a result of the ongoing Burglary investigation that began on Thursday morning, June 6th. Harmel was taken into custody just before 5:00 PM Saturday, June 8, 2024, in rural Ontario in Monroe County. Property missing from the building on Kraemer Road, in rural Hillsboro, WI was also recovered on Saturday, in rural Ontario, WI. Harmel was booked into the Vernon County Detention Center for Burglary, Criminal Damage to Property, Theft, and Probation Violation. Formal charges, to include being charged as a Repeater for habitual criminality, are being sought through Vernon County District

Christopher Robert Anderson, D.C., 41 of Reedsburg passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack in his sleep on Wednesday, June 5th 2024.  He was born on March 16, 1983, at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center to Dr. Robert and Edna Anderson.  Growing up in Reedsburg, he attended St. Peter’s Lutheran School then graduated in 2001 from Reedsburg High School.  During his youth, he was involved with theater and the arts as well as Boy Scouts, reaching the rank of Eagle Scout.  He received an Associate’s Degree in Art’s and Science from U.W. Baraboo in 2003, a Bachelor of Science in Biology from U.W. Madison then later U.W. Milwaukee in 2006. 

Robert (Bob) L. Severson passed away with family by his side at Crestview Nursing home on June 5, 2024. Born to Garfield and Jessie (Wagner)Severson in Madison, WI on January 15, 1929. Robert graduated from Mauston High School in 1947 and married Therese Severson on November25, 1950. Bob served in the Army during the Korean conflict as an Electronics Technician from 1951 to 1952. Bob started his work as an over the road truck driver, working with his Dad for the same company. He then joined the court system as a juvenile court worker, working under, Judges Curren, and Brady. He retired from Juneau County in 1994. He continued working
