Monica Jean Niles, age 86, passed away  peacefully Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the Serenity House in Tomah, with her family by her side. Monica was born on November 13, 1937, in Seven Mile Creek Township, the daughter of George and Agnes (Kelly) Kranz. Monica was the youngest of 16 children. She graduated from Madonna High School in 1956. Monica was employed by Phillips Drug Store for 72 years. She began working there when she was 14 years old, eventually “retired” after 65 years, and then continued in a part-time capacity until the time of her death. Weger, age 93 years, of Elroy, Wisconsin, died on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at the Gundersen Hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin.    He was born on October 6, 1930 in Elroy to John Jack and Hilda (Vogler) Weger.  He graduated from Elroy High School in 1958 and earned Bachelors and two Masters Degrees from UW-Platteville.    John was united in marriage to Beverly O. Mary A Strack 81 of Mauston passed away Monday November 20,2023 peacefully at UW Madison from aggressive cancer. By her side was her son Bill, granddaughter Summer, many close family members and friends.    Mary was born on January 14,1942 to Henry and Blanch Janecek. She was raised in Mauston, went to St. Patrick Catholic School in Mauston. She then went to cosmetology school and then became employed at Mary Ellen’s Beauty Shop for about 50 years. Denise Marie Gabiga, of Adams-Friendship, born to Dennis and Peggy Falk in Aurora Illinois on June 3, 1959. Denise reluctantly passed away at 4:20 am on November 22, 2023 after a long struggle with cancer. She stayed tenacious to the very end.
