Lt. Governor Kleefisch Recognizes Rest Area Maintenance Workers, 30-year Anniversary of Rest Area Maintenance Program

Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch stands with employees of Rest Area 10. During a visit to Rest Area 10 near Mauston Thursday, Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch recognized workers associated with the state’s 30-year-old Rest Area Maintenance (RAM) program.  Since 1987, the RAM program has provided employment opportunities to workers with disabilities who enhance public safety and the state’s tourism industry by handling maintenance duties at Wisconsin’s 30 rest areas and 13 Safety and Weight Enforcement Facilities (SWEF). Canadian Pacific’s Holiday Train Schedule Released; Stops in the Area

All aboard! The Canadian Pacific Railroad’s Holiday Train is gearing up for its 19th annual journey from Canada into the United States, and it will be coming through the area again. The Holiday train will pass through Wisconsin Dells (3:00pm-3:30pm), Mauston (4:25pm-4:55pm), Tomah (5:35pm-6:05pm), Sparta (7:00pm-7:30pm), and La Crosse (9:00pm-9:30pm) on Monday, December 4. The rail line also announced the musical guests that will be performing in concert when the train makes its stop here. The concert will showcase Terri Clark, Dallas Smith and Kelly Prescott.
