Adams PD: Alternate Street Parking Ordinance In Effect November 15

The Adams Police Department is reminding its residents that alternate street parking is in effect on Wednesday, November 15. From 12am – 8am vehicles need to be parked on the odd-number side of street on the odd-numbered days and on the even-numbered side of street on the even-number days. Non-compliance could result up to $30.00 forfeiture and/or suspension of your vehicle registration. There is a complete copy of the ordinance in the Clerk’s Office, which is in the Municipal Building. The alternate parking will continue until April 15th. Wisconsin approves scaling back beauty parlor regulations

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The state Legislature has approved a proposal to eliminate continuing education requirements for cosmetologists and barbers in Wisconsin. The bill sent to Gov. Scott Walker on Thursday would also make it easier for people licensed in other states to work in Wisconsin. The Assembly passed the measure on a voice vote. It would do away with the continuing education requirement for cosmetologists, barbers and manicurists. The measure would also remove a current requirement that an applicant for a license in Wisconsin have 4,000 hours of experience.
