Royall School Board Approves Capital Improvement Projects

The Royall School Board approved several capital improvement projects at its meeting on Monday. The board approved new lockers for the middle school, intermediate school, and high school in an amount not to exceed $68,113 and new athletic lockers for the boys’ locker room in an amount not to exceed $20,000. Superintendent Mark Gruen said they have an anonymous donation of $5,000, and a commitment from the Booster Club and a request in to the Lions’ Club to cover the leftover costs for the athletic lockers. Authorities Release Name of Necedah Man Pronounced Dead After Vehicle Was Submerged

The Juneau County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner’s Office have released the name of the man who was pronounced dead after his vehicle was submerged in a pond. Juneau County Sheriff Brent Oleson said the man was 47-year-old Thomas Moore of Necedah. The vehicle was discovered on Sunday, December 10 at around 9:35am at a pond on private property near the intersection of Highway 21 and County Highway G. The incident remains under investigation. Wisconsin Dells Woman Sentenced For Using Someone’s Identity to Get a Nursing Job

A Wisconsin Dells woman who stole someone’s identity in order to get a nursing job at a Reedsburg hospital was sentenced Monday. Court records show that 41-year-old Jennifer L. Browne pleaded no contest to one felony count of identity theft for financial gain back in September. Prosecutors dismissed four misdemeanor counts of obstructing an officer. Sauk County Judge Guy Reynolds withheld sentencing, but ordered that Browne serve a year in jail with work-release privileges and another three years on probation after her release. Browne’s jail stay in the Sauk County case is to begin right after she has completed a separate jail sentence in a similar Marathon County case. Prosecutors
