One Person Injured in a Single Vehicle Accident in Monroe County

One person was injured in a single vehicle accident in Monroe County Wednesday morning. Monroe County authorities say the crash happened on Highway 16, east of Hedge Road in the Township of Adrian. The vehicle involved in the crash is a 2015 Peterbuilt Dump Truck. The driver, 45-year-old Stacey L Taylor of Tomah, was the only occupant and he told the investigating deputy that he suddenly lost control of his steering and went into the ditch.  Taylor went off the south side of the road, into the ditch, struck and broke a highway sign, came back onto the road and rolled onto its side. Tomah Memorial Hospital Schedules Special Holiday Blood Drive Dec. 26

BloodCenter of Wisconsin officials are asking area residents to consider giving the gift of life by donating blood at Tomah Memorial Hospital Dec. 26. Officials say during the holidays, donations decline, but the need increases. All blood types are welcome at the drive from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the hospital classrooms 321 Butts, Avenue. To donate, a person must be in good health, at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and have photo identification. Sixteen-year-olds may donate with parental consent.
