Madison woman charged with Hit and Run

35 year old Sarah Bires of Madison was arrested early Sunday morning after fleeing the scene of an accident and then attempting to flee traffic officers.  She allegedly backed into a semi-truck in the rest area between Mauston and Lyndon Station on I-90 94, then left the scene and drove the wrong way, westbound in the eastbound lanes of I-90/94.   Law enforcement authorities gave chase and finally stopped her near New Lisbon after 3 a.m. Sunday morning.  She was arrested and charged with three counts including; Recklessly Endangering Safety, Attempting to Flee or Elude, and Hit and Run.  The investigation continues. Drug Possession Charges for Reedsburg Man

Thomas Day, age 21, of Reedsburg was arrested Saturday afternoon in New Lisbon after a routine traffic stop for speeding.   Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia was found in the vehicle.  Law Enforcement also found open and unopened alcohol containers in the vehicle.  One passenger in the vehicle was cited for underage drinking, another passenger was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant from Sauk County and was taken into custody.  Day tried to say the marijuana was not his and tried to blame others including  mother who owns the vehicle.  However, he was charged with three offences; Operating without a Valid License, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of THC.  Records
