>>Marquette Falls Apart At Home Against Butler 92-72 (Milwaukee, WI)  —  Needing a win against a quality opponent, Marquette fell far short in a 92-72 loss to Butler at home Wednesday night.  The Golden Eagles’ hopes to make the N-C-A-A tournament are fading along with the disappointment of a blowout defeat.  The game was tied at 18 when Butler went on a 10-point run and Marquette trailed by as much as 30 in the second half.  Markus Howard scored 26 to lead the Eagles, but senior Andrew Rowsey was shut out, missing all six shots he took.  Tyler Wideman led Butler with 23.  Marquette faces another big test when Providence

Wisconsin Morning State News for Thursday 2/1/18

>>UPDATE–No Injuries To 3 Members Of Wisconsin Congressional Delegation (Crozet, VA)  —  House Speaker Paul Ryan and fellow congressmen Sean Duffy and Glenn Grothman report they weren’t hurt when a train carrying Republican members of Congress was involved in an accident.  The train slammed into a garbage truck at a crossing in a small Virginia town near Charlottesville.  The 28-year-old truck driver, Christopher Foley, was killed and two passengers injured.  A Minnesota congressman suffered a concussion.  The Republican Party members were all traveling to a retreat in West Virginia.  U-S Senator Ron Johnson wasn’t on that Amtrak train.   >>President Offers Support For Johnson’s “Right To Try” Bill (Washington, DC)

Isthmus sues Madison Police over records request

On Dec. 7, 2016, Isthmus submitted a records request to Madison police.
