Wisconsin Governor Says He Would Welcome Chance To Join Trump

Wisconsin’s governor has told people attending a Midwest Conservative Summit he would welcome the chance to join the president if he comes to the state.  Governor Scott Walker disputed a New York Times report which said he was unlikely to campaign with President Trump.  Walker says voter frustration with Washington doesn’t mean voters are frustrated with the president.  He pointed out he joined Vice President Mike Pence at a fundraiser in Milwaukee just last week. Federal Investigators Discuss Likely Causes Of Wisconsin Corn Mill Blast

Federal investigators say one supervisor at the Didion Milling tells them an air filter blew off a corn grinding device last May shortly before a deadly explosion.  Five people died and 14 were injured.  A spokesperson for the U-S Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board says it could be another six months before it issues any conclusions about the incident.  Preliminary findings were released Monday.  The supervisor told the feds flames shot out of an intake line when the filter blew off just before the incident at the plant in Cambria, about 40 miles east of Wisconsin Dells. Wind Spreads Kewaskum Fire To 8 Homes

A fire which apparently started in a pile of oily rags spread to eight different homes in Kewaskum Monday.  No injuries were reported.  The rags were being stored in a container after they had been used to stain a deck.  Two of the eight homes were damaged and the others suffered heat damage or minor fire damage.  One of the homes which caught on fire was located three blocks away from where the problem started.  Kewaskum fire officials say they think the wind blew embers from the original fire, helping it spread. Pirus pleads guilty to wife’s murder

A Madison man accused of blowing up his home to hide the murder of his wife, pleaded guilty Monday to first-degree intentional homicide in her death.
