Area Varsity High School Results from Tuesday 1/30/18

BOYS BASKETBALL

Mauston defeated  Westby 70-58

Necedah defeated Adams-Friendship 51-46.  Senior guard Noah Waltemath led the charge for Necedah, which overcame an 11-point deficit with 4:30 left in the game, to win 51-46. Waltemath scored 14 of his team high 16 points in the 2nd half. The Necedah defense took over the game down the stretch as the Cardinals pulled away from the Green Devils. Sophomore guard Jaron Murphy added 14 and senior guard Miles Saylor chipped in 13 for the Cardinals. Jaiquon Ingram led the Green Devils with 20 points, Braedyn Quinnell added 15 in the loss.

Wauzeka-Stueben defeated Wonewoc-Center 76-52
 

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Hillsboro defeated New Lisbon 72-51.  Sydney Johnson led the Tigers with 30 points…Molly Crandall added 16 points in the win.  Kayla Steele led the Rockets with 14 points…Callie Bever and Taylor Bever added 10 points each in the loss.

Royall defeated Necedah 51-48.  Royall leading scorers…Kenzie Baeseman and Emily Olson led the Panthers with 15 points each, Emma Gruen added 8 points in the win. Miah Hansen led the Cardinals with 19 points in the loss.

Bangor defeated Wonewoc-Center 78-9

 

GIRLS HOCKEY

Tomah/Black River Falls shutout the Badger Lighting 8-0
