Oregon, WI Man Faces 4th Offense OWI after being Stopped in Mauston
An Oregon, Wisconsin man is facing his 4th Offense OWI after being pulled over on October 19th. A Mauston police officer noticed a vehicle driving north on N. Union Street at a high rate of speed. The officers’ radar showed the vehicle going 45 in a 25 zone. The officer conducted the traffic stop and approached the driver. The driver later identified as 42 year old Joseph Gorius showed several signs of impairment. He had red, glassy, bloodshot eyes, had slurred speech, and smelled of alcohol. Gorius admitted to having a couple drinks but said it was over 3 hours prior to being pulled over. A field sobriety test was conducted and Gorius showed several signs of impairment. He blew a PBT test of .123. Gorius did agree to a legal blood draw.
