Wisconsin Senate Leader Considering Run For Congress

Less than 24 hours after Wisconsin Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner announced his pending retirement, the line of potential replacements is growing.  Wisconsin Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald, Republican, issued a Thursday statement saying he is considering a campaign for the 5th District seat Sensenbrenner held for more than four decades.  Fitzgerald says President Trump needs strong allies in Washington and he will be talking with his family and his team about the idea.  Former state Senator Leah Vukmir says she is “strongly considering” running.
