Union Center Man Arrested After Pulling into Nonexistent Driveway
A Union Center man is facing his 5th Offense OWI. A Juneau County Deputy watched a truck driven by 42 year old Derek Becker attempt to pull into a driveway, however there was no driveway present where Becker was pulling into. Becker quickly backed out all the way across the street into the neighboring yard. The Deputy then activated his lights for a traffic stop. As the Deputy approached he noticed a strong smell of intoxicants coming from Becker. Becker also appeared to be off balance and admitted to the officer he had too much to drink. Becker indicated signs of impairment during a field sobriety test and was placed under arrest. A blood draw was conducted at the Juneau County Jail. Becker had a blood alcohol content of .304.
