Petrowitz, Karla F., age 51 of Mauston
Karla F. Petrowitz, age 51 of Mauston passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 14 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.
She was born in Madison on August 22, 1967; the daughter of Charles and Judith (Springer) Petrowitz.
She is survived by her sister, Amy (Bill) Czaplewski of Sun Prairie, brothers Dr. Anthony (Melanie) Petrowitz of Fond du Lac, and Samuel (Michelle) Petrowitz of Oconomowoc; Her nieces and nephews Chuck, Nicole, Tony, Ava, Jenna, Jewell, Ella and Nicholas. And her little dog, Belle.
Karla will be missed greatly by her family, especially her nieces and nephews whose lives her’s revolved around. She attended every family holiday, baptism, first communion, piano recital, horse show, parade and sporting event – they always knew they had the support of aunt Karla. Aunt Karla had a unique way of knowing what each child needed and making them feel special. Time spent with Aunt Karla was filled with fun, laughter and love.
Karla had countless friends but none as precious to her as Judy Haagenson. Karla cherished their lifelong friendship.
Karla enjoyed going for walks with her dog. She had an exceptional talent for and loved to crochet, needlepoint, knit and sew (skills she learned from her mother) making many custom pieces for her family and donating others to the many causes she supported.
Karla was dedicated to her work. Her quick wit and genuine caring personality will be missed by her co-workers.
She is preceded in death by her father, Charles; mother, Judith; and aunt Mary Elaine Petrowitz.
Friends may call on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 11AM-1PM at Crandall Funeral Home, Mauston where a service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Graveside services to follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Mauston.
