Stone, Dawn Marie age 49 of Elroy

Dawn Marie Stone, age 49 years, of Elroy, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Elroy Health Services after a short illness.

 

She was born on March 5, 1969 to David and Betty (Stanek) Stone in Janesville.  Dawn attended school at Wonewoc-Center and graduated in 1987.  She worked hard in school while dealing with two childhood illnesses.

 

Dawn had a love for horses, wolves, painting, embroidery and driving her car.  She embraced family and friends by sending handwritten letters and providing her paintings and embroidery to loved ones.

 

She is survived by her parents, Betty and David Stone; two sisters, Tamera (Doug) Wagner and Brenda (Spencer) Vrieze; one niece, Logan Boyle and two nephews, Brandon Oswald and Nathaniel Osterman in addition to many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

 

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with Pastor Jeff Owen officiating.  Burial will be in the Forest – Burr Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.  Friends may call at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro on Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., for online information go to www.pichafuneralhomes.com
