Republican Gives Up Leadership Position, But Won’t Resign

The assistant Republican Majority Leader of the Assembly has given up his leadership position but says he won’t resign.  Rob Brooks of Saukville has apologized for racist and sexual remarks he made to three female colleagues after a caucus event in Wisconsin Dells.  The governor has called for him to step down.  Representatives Cindi Duchow, Amy Loudenbeck and Jessie Rodriguez say they have accepted his apology.
