Mauston High School Graduate Becomes World Champion in Power Lifting

A 2018 Mauston High School graduate can now call himself a World Champion.  Niko Iglesias used a deadlift of 606 pounds to become a World Champion at the Junior World Powerlifting Championship in South Africa.  The event took place this past weekend.  Iglesias won gold medals in the Bench Press, Squat, Deadlift, and Total.  Iglesias was issued a hero’s welcome upon his return home to Mauston.
