Children Allegedly Held in Cages at a Monroe County Residence Names Released

Monroe County Sheriff Scott Perkins reports that in the early morning hours of Friday August 24th, authorities received a report of child neglect that was occurring at a residence in the Village of Melvina.  The complainant was able to provide evidence that there were children being kept in makeshift cages at the residence.  A search warrant was executed by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and the children located.  2 adults were arrested related to the incident and formal charges will be forthcoming.

Sheriff Scott Perkins Reports that the 2 subjects arrested on 8/24/2018 are 47 year-old Travis Headrick and 39 year-old Amy Headrick of Melvina.  They will appear in Monroe County Court at 1:00pm today for their bond hearing.
