Montello Co-op Poynette Could Join South Central Conference for Football Only in 2020

The discussion over football only conference alignment continues in the WIAA.  A new proposal would have Poynette and the Montello football Co-op joining the existing 6 South Central Conference teams.  The Montello Co-op is made up of Montello, Green Lake, and Princeton schools.  The proposal for the 2019 season was to have Black River Falls and G-E-T in a conference with Mauston, Nekoosa, Wisconsin Dells, Adams-Friendship, Westfield, and Wautoma would be scrapped.  The plan with Montello and Poynette could take effect as early as the 2020 season.  The 2020 plan would also send Onalaska Luther to the Scenic Bluff Conference and River Falls to the Mississippi Valley Conference.
