Would-Be Illicit Photographer Injured When Camera’s Battery Explodes

Madison police say a man’s foot was injured when a battery on his shoe-mounted camera blew up.  The man turned himself into police after the incident.  He said he bought the camera intending to take “upskirt” photos of women but hadn’t recorded any video before the explosion.  The severity of his injuries wasn’t revealed.  Police say he was counseled about his actions and released because no video was taken.  The investigation is continuing.  Since no charges were filed, the man’s name hasn’t been released.
