Walsh, Jeanette “Jennie” Marie, age 90

Jeanette Marie Walsh died at home Saturday June 2, 2018 with family at her side. She had Hospice Touch to help her and her family through this difficult time.

Jennie was born July 12, 1927- the last child of Harry and Norma Parrington.

Her mother was 46 years old when she was born. She had three older brothers who all catered to her every whim.  She married LeRoy Boehm and moved from Oakland, California to Mauston, Wisconsin, where she saw her first snow and loved it. Jennie learned how to cook, sew, and keep a house for seven children. Many mornings the aroma of fresh baked bread or homemade sweet rolls permeated the air. She was also known for her huge trays of baked cookies, bars, and fudge. She went to college while working and raising her children. Jennie worked at Mile Bluff Clinic for25 years before she retired.

She met and married the love of her life, Pat Walsh, whom she was married to for 28 years.

They went on to travel, play cards, and be involved with their children’s lives. Their children and grandchildren were their greatest joy.

Jennie will always be remembered for her open, loving nature. She made homemade items for all the Fairview Nursing Home patients when she found out many did not have visitors.

Additionally, she crocheted all of her grandchildren, and many great grandchildren, sweaters and caps when they were born.

Jennie’s Catholic faith was paramount in her world and she lived her life accordingly. She was a perfect example of a Christian. She used her faith to guide her through many hardships.

Jennie is survived by her children Mike Boehm, Art Boehm, Dan (Jeanette) Boehm, Val Jones, Diana Hundt, and Debbie Beyer; stepchildren Michael (Cathy) Walsh, Gerald (Pam) Walsh, and Kathleen Ostberg; nephew Skip Parrington, daughter-in-law Gail Boehm, 32 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
