Ed Brooks to Serve as Kurtz’s Campaign Treasurer

Rep. Ed Brooks will be giving his time as well as his endorsement to Tony Kurtz’s campaign for the State Assembly this year. The outgoing representative announced this week that he will be serving as the campaign’s treasurer.

“My commitment to the 50th district isn’t ending just because I’m stepping aside;” said Brooks. “I’ve worked hard over the last ten years to give my neighbors a strong voice in the legislature, and Tony has my full support because I know that he’ll be an active, engaged voice for the people in Madison.”

Kurtz, an organic farmer who served 20 years in the Army as a helicopter pilot, was grateful to Brooks for his work and support.

“I’m honored to have Ed as my campaign treasurer,” said Kurtz. “His work on behalf of our rural communities has earned him the support and respect of Republicans, Democrats, and Independents. Like Ed, my goal is to be a voice for all the people of the 50th.”
