Authorites reported to a Wonewoc residence this (Thursday) morning noticing a car sitting in a decorative flower bed. The driver was near the car using a car jack. The car was hung up on the bear statue and decorative metal wagon wheel. When the deputy made contact with 40 year old David May, May seemed unsteady on his feet. The deputy asked May how he had ended up in the flower bed and May said he missed his turn and ended up there. May’s eyes were blood shot and glassy and his speech was slurred according to the deputy. May admitted to having a few drinks. May performed a field sobriety test. May failed the test and a breathalyzer test showed May to have a blood alcohol level of .219. May was placed under arrest for driving under the influence.
