New Lisbon’s Krista Cook to Compete in Tomah Regional High School Rodeo and Junior High Rodeo
Tomah Parks & Recreations Fair Grounds will once again be hosting the Tomah Regional High School & Junior High Rodeo this Saturday and Sunday. Organizer Toni Henry believes the rodeo is a good way for the community to see its local contestants vie for points towards state or nationals. Henry says “this is different than your normal high school sport”. Krista Cook will participate for New Lisbon. Tomah Area School District will have 7 participants: High Schoolers Mikayla Olson, Ruth Schwichtenberg, Cheyanne Check, Coy Nelson, Evan Salzwedal, along with middle schoolers Sierra Steele & Dylan Breitsprecher. Rodeo events include bareback riding, bull riding, calf roping, saddle bronc riding, team roping, barrel racing, breakaway roping cutting, goat tying and pole bending.
