Former Green Bay Councilman Says He Was “Smeared” By Accusations

The ethics board of the Green Bay City Council has decided to take no action against former Alderman Guy Zima.  He no longer holds office after being defeated in last month’s election.  Zima told members of the ethics board he was “smeared” by the allegations.  Alderwoman Barbara Dorff had filed the complaint alleging Zima had violated the council’s code of conduct.  Zima was dismayed the hearing wasn’t held until after the election.  He says he didn’t have a chance to prove his side of the argument — and he lost both his council seat and his place on the Brown County Board of Supervisors.
