Mauston Man Jailed on Charges of Delivering THC & Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
An investigation by detectives from both Sauk County and the Mauston Police Department has led to an arrest of Joshua Steinhorst 25, of Mauston. Mauston police department was notified by Sauk County detectives about three controlled buys of marijuana, cocaine, and LSD. These controlled buys took place between late December of 2017 and February 23, of 2018. Mauston PD was also notified of a rental vehicle operated and abandoned by Steinhorst. The vehicle had an overwhelming odor of marijuana according to a Mauston Police Officer. Authorities were able to conduct a search of Steinhorst’s apartment room due to him being on felony probation. Authorities found evidence of illegal activity in Stienhorst’s room. Officers found green leafy substances, identified as marijuana, a tote containing numerous sandwich bags, a glass mug containing $1673, and a yellow sheet of paper appearing to be used as a ledger of sales. This evidence was taken to the Mauston Police Department. On April 12th, detectives were able to make contact with Steinhorst at the Juneau County Jail. Steinhorst is being charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver THC (Repeater) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Repeater).
