Viterbo College Cutting Some Majors
Viterbo University in La Crosse says it will eliminate ten majors that have low enrollment. The school’s president says the decision was made after a review of majors with fewer than 20 students to determine if there was enough demand. The majors being eliminated are: art education, environmental biology, chemistry, history, studio art, sport science and leadership, liberal studies, philosophy, broad field social studies and educational studies. The school says most of the majors being cut will remain as minors. A faculty committee evaluated 24 majors and decided to cut the ten.
