Cold Weather, Flu Prompt Critical Plea for Local Blood Donors
BloodCenter of Wisconsin and Tomah Memorial Hospital officials hope area residents can help meet a critical need for blood by donating at Tomah Memorial Hospital this Thursday. Tomah Memorial marketing and public relations director Eric Prise said the weather and illness have resulted in a decline in blood donations. Prise said BloodCenter of Wisconsin strives to see eight-hundred donors a day, six days a week, to collect the blood needed by patients in the hospitals with which they collaborate, like Tomah Memorial. Donations can be made Thursday from noon until 5 P-M. Register online at Tomah Hospital - dot - org to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcome.
