Stolen Vehicle High Speed Chase
On Wednesday January 17th, a high speed chase involving a stolen vehicle, resulted in Michael Vierck, age 30, of Elroy, being arrested and receiving 5 citations.
Shortly after Vierck alleged allegedly stole the vehicle, authorities spotted it travelling in downtown Mauston. Police attempted to pull him over, instead he led them on a high-speed chase with speeds in excess of 100 miles an hour. The chase ended when he struck a tree in a field after leaving Sumiec Road.
Charges include charges against Vierck include; Recklessly Endangering Safety, Operating without Owner’s Consent, Attempting to Flee or Elude Officer, Resisting an Officer, and Disorderly Conduct.
